first time i'm sighing the image out of western maryland. we are getting snow out this way in the haguers town camera, rain so far. back here in baltimore, again it's a relatively quiet night. 47, winds are very, very light. it is the preverb ya'll calm before the storm. there is some snow now over cumberland, rain mixed with snow. the change over from west to east, that's going to be the story through the day tomorrow. the further west you are watching from you are begin to see the changeover to snow sooner than points east of baltimore. mid-40s on the map. not bad except oakland, 32. winds are light. calm before the storm. here it is, rain, snow, the whole ball of wax and everything in between. mixture of wet snow and rain is what we are seeing in a lot of our observing stations in west virginia and southwestern virginia. this is the first batch of rain , the first part of the storm sending in the precipitation in to western maryland tonight. it's the coastal storms south and east the big player in our weather, around baltimore, the baltim

maryland's most powerful radar is dry right now. we'll be staying that way as we go through the next few hours. finally the rain will be upon us. our highs today 75 at inner harbor. 72 in annapolis. i had so many friends. 74 in d.c. that's the way that i like. it as we go through the neighborhood forecast, i don't know, those friends might die out. look at the 67 degrees that i'm forecasting into federal hill and then the rain on top of it, the clouds. the satellite and radar pick up on the clouds trying to stream in across the area. we're getting it from every angle. we have it from the west, the clouds from the south. the storm system will be moving in as we go into tomorrow from the south. it's working in tandem with this upper level low. we have the surface low from florida, lots of moisture with this and with that we'll be putting down at times some heavy rainfall across the area. future trends will be picking up what i'm talking b things still looking good as we go through the rest of the evening. so towards morning about 3:00

some of this edged its way up into south maryland. and now the heavier rains are down south of news mineral and ashland and richland. you think the or given our earthquake a few months back. 71 in baltimore. but most spots in the state have fallen into the 60s. we're going to be quickly down to 60s this evening. humidity is moderate. but you don't really feel it at these air temperatures, you note that helps fuel the rain as it pushes up out of the south and more moisture in place and that will mean better chances for rain tonight and into the day tomorrow and the next couple of days. it's a large system. if you really look at the broad circulation, it reaches into upstate new york and up into cape hatteras and upshore a large circulation. not a tropical system. but the core is over columbia, south carolina. the whole ball of wax will slowly progress. the upper lows famous for upper movement and slowly progress north and east and will eventually clear by friday. but we look for increased chances for rain tonight, tomorrow, maybe some

maryland's most powerful radar, showers to the north. temperatures in the mid-60s to 50s to the west. 45 in oakland. zoom in. winds light. in fact, call until baltimore and frederick, almost no wind. a little boundary sneaking in could bring in a couple showers later this evening. don't look for much rain and certainly not widespread but a few of the showers that are sliding into western maryland could make it into baltimore. we got a storm system here but this will continue to head out to sea. mild air continues to come up the coast. that will moan essentially another day in the 60s and a clearer sky once the boundary slides through. i don't think it will drop our temperatures. the trend shows clearing tomorrow. mostly sunny through the day. as we go into wednesday another boundary comes down. the cloud sup and a few -- is up and few showers. the rain will be possible down on the mexican coastline. tropical storm rina is expected to strength, go to places like cancun, cozumel. this could go to category three strength. we'll keep a close
